Stay With You. A Twilight Inspired song by Traci Hines (ft. Josh Bracks)
Ok i am a huge fan of Traci Hines. For those of you who don't know her she is a singer/performer/model. She auditioned for American Idol in 2009, and for those of you who went to Comic Con this year she dress up as Ariel. Plus if your a fan of Hot Topic you may have seen her model some of the Twilight clothing!

This is a brand new song from Traci Inspired by Twilight:
This song is called 'Stay With You' and it was inspired by the first movie/book in the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer. It is meant to be a duet between the two main characters, Edward and Bella.
If you have managed to live under a rock for the past couple years and don't know about the Twilight phenomenon...or worse, you are an anti-fan and have stayed away because of the hype, I encourage you to at least check out the books...I saw the movie and liked it enough to write this song, (only b/c the idea intrigued me and a song kinda just came, as so many do...not really because the movie itself evoked much feeling from me-don't get me wrong I didn't hate it, it just didn't live up to the hype for me, but I've got high hopes for New Moon), but not enough to really call myself a fan...that is, until I read the books. Now I'm hooked on the series and not ashamed! If you know Twilight, then this song will make a lot more sense. If not, well, then just think of it as a modern Romeo and Juliet-esque story but with Vampires....haha. I think the lyrics explain enough...Bella and Edward are drawn to each other despite the fact that they come from two very different worlds. I tried to capture with this song, the feelings of the two characters and their struggle to make sense of the beginnings of their love story.

Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?
I'm Team Edward even though I find myself routing for Team Jacob at times in New Moon haha.
The Examiner points out that Rob’s upcoming film Remember Me will be released on February 12, 2010, the same day that Taylor’s upcoming film Valentine’s Day will be released.
Twilight fans may or may not face a bit of a conundrum on February 12, 2010. It is the shared date of release for Remember Me and Valentine’s Day.Remember Me stars Robert Pattinson (Edward in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), while Valentine’s Day stars Taylor Lautner (who plays Jacob in the saga).
Both films were shot with the Twilight actors during their off-time between filming New Moon and Eclipse and will be released on the same day – perhaps reanimating some of the Team Edward versus Team Jacob spirit?
One might care to wager that Kristen Stewart’s summer-shot film The Runaways would probably not be slotted for the same release date.
So, if you have to choose (and you just might), which of the two films would you see on February 12, 2010? Does the joint release date hinder your plans to see both at all?
Thanks SpunkRansom! =)

'Twilight'-branded 'Wuthering Heights': Love or loathe?

In hopes of taking advantage of the never-ending Twilight frenzy, HarperCollins decided to design a new cover for its paperback editions of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights that’s inspired by the teen vamp franchise (as noted by Ron Hogan at the books blog Galleycat). Why, you ask? As all Twilight fans know, Brontë’s classic novel is Bella and Edward’s favorite book (duh!). Don’t believe me? Well, just look at the new cover, branded with the sure-to-pull-young-readers-in slogan, “Bella & Edward’s Favorite Book” (as well as the Team Edward appropriate tagline, “Love never dies”).
Though most people taking a first glance at the new cover might be overwhelmed with images of Brontë rolling in her grave, I can’t completely dismiss it. I’m always in support of corporate decisions that encourage young readers to pick up the classics, even if said decisions are likely inspired by moolah. And at least the U.S. cover better than the U.K.’s (the middle one above), which features a font that I probably used while designing posters in seventh grade.
Are you shuddering, Shelf Lifers? Or do you see merits to the re-branding?
Idk seems kinda cool i haven't read the book yet but i think I'm reading it this year in school. Its great how they revamped it just for Twilight fans.

Edward Cullen With Long Hair?

'Twilight' Director Catherine Hardwicke Tells Behind-The-Scenes Secrets
Many "Twilight" fans may think the first film in Stephenie Meyer's four-part saga is darn near perfect, but there are a few things director Catherine Hardwicke would go back and change if she could. "I would have a giant, plastic dome built over the state of Oregon," Hardwicke joked during a one-hour Q&A session at the official "Twilight" convention in Parsippany, New Jersey.
Joking aside, Hardwicke did say she wishes she could have delved deeper into Bella's vivid dreams. "I loved in the book when Stephenie would describe some of the dreams and things, so I really wanted to film some of the dream sequences," Hardwicke said. "And we had a whole plan for this beautiful, underwater dream sequence. [But we had] no money. They said, 'We can't afford it.' We had to do a lot of things with little money because Summit didn't know if anyone was going to see the movie."
"Twilight" Invades New Jersey
Obviously fans came out in droves for the vampire romance, but there were a few other scenes fans didn't get to see. For one, the beloved "blood test" scene from the novel was cut to add variety to the filming locations — and to abate Hardwicke's bloody fears. "I was actually that person that fainted in my seventh-grade biology class," she said. Another thing fans didn't see was a hairy Robert Pattinson. Hardwicke originally envisioned Bella's bloodsucking boyfriend Edward with long hair. "I thought it would be cool if Rob had long, romantic hair," she said. "So we put extensions on Rob and he just hated it. He sat there in the chair for eight hours and was like, 'No.' "
Hardwicke also had Pattinson style secrets to share from off the set. According to the director, Pattinson was sporting a not-so-fresh shirt at the Teen Choice Awards. "I was sitting on the couch next to Rob and he was telling me, 'I didn't know what to wear. I didn't have anything clean, so my friend wore this shirt last night and did a performance.' So his buddy did a whole performance in this shirt and Rob found it on the floor and thought it was the cleanest shirt he had, so he wore it to the awards."
But it wasn't all Rob, Rob, Rob during the Q&A session — Hardwicke offered particular kudos to actress Kristen Stewart. When one fan asked if Stewart could pull of the emotional intensity needed in "New Moon," Hardwicke wholeheartedly replied yes. "She has depth deeper than any actress I've ever known."
Though the session revolved mainly around "Twilight," Hardwicke alluded to her upcoming projects including "If I Stay," "Hamlet," "Maximum Ride" and the recently announced "The Girl With the Red Riding Hood," noting that they are all in the development stages and that she is not sure which she'll work on first. "Any fortune tellers out there?" she asked.

Twilight THE VIDEO GAME

Well, it may sound a little strange but I will personally be putting, THE TWILIGHT VIDEO GAME, on my Twilight shrine-shelf, how about you? Here's an interview with Twilight Examiner.
Can you describe the game concept?
One extremely big feature that I'm going with is an open non-linear world revolved around
Forks. I like the idea of letting plays explore around the world, and discover new amazing
things that are not even covered in the book or the movie. One really extremely crucial feature
in the game engine that was licensed for the game is unlimited world streaming, and this
feature allows for the game to go in an open non-linear direction. The game will being closely
based to both Twilight and Midnight Sun allowing the player to play, and experience the story
from either Bella's or Edward's perspective. I'm highly thinking of including New Moon into the
project as well. I really think it’s important to allow players to experience being human,
vampire, or phasing into a werewolf.
Which characters will be integrated into the game?
Which characters will be integrated into the game?
All the characters that are present in both the movie and books will be present in the game.
It's important to maintain Stephenie's vision and creativity in the game, and I just don't think
it would be right to remove any characters from the game.
What systems are you designing it for- Xbox, Wii, both, or will it be more of a handheld
What systems are you designing it for- Xbox, Wii, both, or will it be more of a handheld
game, ie. Nintendo DS?
I can't answer this question at this time. It really will be up to Summit Entertainment on which
systems they would like the game developed for. Even though I am turning over the game free
of charge to Summit I would be more than glad to work on ensuring that the game is released
on different platforms, and utilizes the strengths of each particular platform.

Bella's Bashing Bracelets

Confessions Of A TwiCrack Addict shares some "twi-fashion" with us, regarding Bella's bracelet and ring. The white stoned mood ring and silver embroidered turqouise stone bracelet caught the attention--that was currently focused on Edward--from teenage fashionesitas, and many older and younger fans too. We have this sense of appreciation for Bella, I think, because she is a nomal girl. Therefore, they couldn't easily give her a desinger pair of jeans, like Alice, they just give her sheak and classy. I also appreciate how much they went into it--fashion wise--really they spend a lot of time working on Bella's "southern hippy flare," that I thought was absolutly adorable.
Anyway, here's what TwiCrack shares with us: InStyle tells us where we can buy Bella's bracelet and ring, which she sports in both New Moon and Twilight. Check it out here.

True Love or True Blood: Bella Swan Vs. Sookie Stackhouse

Film.com compares True Blood's Sookie against Twilight's Bella.
The defining moment in the relationship between Sookie and vampire Bill comes right after Sookie meets her first vampire. Bill walks into her Louisiana diner, and exits with a couple that subdues him in the parking lot with silver chains while they try to drain him. Sookie comes to Bill's rescue. For Bella, an out-of-control van in the school parking lot almost turns her into a pancake, until vampire Edward flies to her side and stops the van with his bare hand. Superman has arrived to save the damsel in distress.

MENSA MATERIAL
Bella's a top student who matches Edward in intelligence. He may have matriculated many times in the past century, but she's more than able to keep up with him on an academic level. Sookie, however, has more down-home common sense than book learnin'. So we'll have to give it up for Bella.
