Peter Talks To MTV About His Bet

Peter talks to MTV's Larry Carroll about his bet:



MTV: Explain the contest for us.

Facinelli: Rob DeFranco [@211me] is a friend of mine. He was at my house and saw the backing of my chair from "Twilight" — that piece of fabric that says my name and says "Twilight" on it. He asked if he could have it, and Rob is a betting man, so when I said no, he said, "Well, I'll bet you for it."

MTV: And how did Twitter get involved?

Facinelli: I had just joined Twitter, so he bet me that I couldn't get 500,000 followers in a week. I let the fans decide what Rob DeFranco has to do if he loses — and the sick and twisted minds of my Twitter followers decided that he'd have to dance down Hollywood Boulevard in a bikini singing [Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)"] with a sign that says "Twitter me." So I think I got the better end of that deal.

MTV: And if that happens, you're going to give away the chair back to a fan?

Facinelli: Yeah. The fans have been having fun with the contest, and I decided last night that if I'm going to lose this chair backing anyway, I'd rather have a fan get it than my friend Rob. So I threw in some incentive last night — if we hit 500,000 by Friday, then I'll give away the backing of my chair to one of my followers.

Help Peter!

For those of you who don't know, Peter has recently accepted a bet with a friend of his named Rob, from development company 211me-Inc.com. Rob bet that Peter couldn't get 500,000 followers in a week. If Peter fails at reaching that goal by Midnight, Pacific time on June 19th, he will have to hand over the back of his Twilight director's chair, which he does not want to part with. However, if he can reach that goal, Rob has to dance down Hollywood Blvd, in a bikini, singing "All The Single Ladies' by Beyonce, while holding a sign saying "Twitter Me". The best part, Peter gets to video tape it and put it on YouTube for all the world to see! So, if you don't have a Twitter account, go make one and be sure to follow Peter. If you are already following him, you can tell your friends about the bet, and get them to tell their friends. We won't be able to do this without everyone's help. So let's show him what the fans can really do when they put their minds to it!

New Moon Scenes That Almost Wern't Gonna Happen

New New Moon article from MTV'S Larry Carroll. It talks about some key New Moon scenes that almost didn't happen.

The immensely popular "New Moon" trailer gives us a peek at Lautner's athleticism. It also gives us our first look at the infamous birthday scene — a moment that actor Jackson Rathbone had been eager to shoot ever since he landed the role of anguished vampire Jasper Hale.

"He unleashed the madness; it was crazy," Peter Facinelli remembered of the day when Rathbone finally got to display his inner animal and attack Kristen Stewart's Bella. "It took me and Kellan — non-acting — to hold him back."

Elizabeth Reaser also got knocked over during the violent take. "Jasper, played by Jackson Rathbone, kinda loses it when Bella cuts herself," Kellan Lutz recalled. "It's fun to work with your friends and see a side of them that you really don't expect. That's where the acting comes into play. Jackson did an amazing job portraying that scene, and it was fun being my character to try and stop him."

Peter Facinelli Says Kristen Stewart Is Still Settling Into Her Fame

Peter talks about how Kristen is just getting used to her new fame:


"Peter Facinelli, the Dr. Carlisle Cullen depicter on "Twilight" and "The Twilight Saga's New Moon", says something about his co-star Kristen Stewart. He admits that the 19-year-old beauty currently is still trying to adapt herself to her sudden rise of fame.

"I think being mind-blown about it isn't the same as being uncomfortable with it," he told Us Magazine during the New York City premiere of "Nurse Jackie" on Tuesday, June 2. "I think she's got a real charm and grace about her, and I think she really is settling into it."

Kristen Stewart received an award for Best Female Performance category during 2009 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, May 31. When giving a speech on the stage, she revealed to her fans that she was "awkward". Talking about Stewart's attitude, Facinelli said, "That's just Kristen. I think she has that shaky knee syndrome and that's part of her charm."

Professionally, Kristen Stewart and Peter Facinelli are starring on "The Twilight Saga's New Moon". About the upcoming vampire drama film, Facinelli opens up that it currently is in the process of editing. "Hopefully they'll pick the good parts and make a good movie. I'm excited to actually see it," he stated."

Kristen doesn't seem like she has been too affected by it and I'm glad. She's not like other out of control Hollywood starlets.
