MTV Gets The Fan's Reactions To Eclipse

We're not sure if you've heard, but "Eclipse" is out now. Fans all across the U.S.A were already lining up for midnight screenings on Tuesday night to be some of the first to catch the third film in the "Twilight Saga." MTV News caught up with New York City Twi-hards before the show, and we were also on hand to talk to Los Angeles fans as they streamed out of the theater.

The consensus among the West Coast Twilighters we spoke to is that David Slade's take on the vampire tale rocked.


"Best movie! It was actually the whole tent scene. Love the tent scene; it was a battle between Edward and Jacob. It was amazing! I loved it," Elisse Mendez raved to MTV News. "I would actually have to say this is one of the top films that has come out so far. 'Twilight' was good. 'New Moon' was good, but I think this was better. Jacob — this time around he was such an amazing actor."

Patrick Seitz said he had been hoping Slade would bring his prior vampire expertise to the film, and he wasn't disappointed. "I actually surprisingly liked it. I think this is the best of the bunch. I did [like the end], although I feel bad for Jacob because every time he does stuff, I know what's coming," he said. "I like the love triangle. I like the tension. I thought it was a good ending."

Morgan Jones admitted that the end made her cry. Her pal Heather Jones added, "Loved it. This one's so much better! I wish I could watch it again right now. The acting was better, the writing was better. There weren't so many long pauses. It was like it moved. It was an action film."

Fans named the long awaited tent scene and the film's conclusion as highlights. "The ending of the movie was really great," Carissa Odenberg said. "I want to see 'Breaking Dawn.' It makes you want to see the next one."

Her friend Anthony Ortiz continued, "It had a lot of action. Best movie so far of the 'Twilight Saga.' I like the details. All the detail was good. I really enjoyed it."

"It was awesome," Cary Lockwood said. "It was better than I thought it was going to be."

Angie Llorena added, "It was better than the first two combined. It got my adrenaline pumping. It was very cool, exciting."

Eclipse Facebook Contest

It is finally June, Twihards! And as it is, we all must bask in our TwiGlory while we can until those gruling months pass until Breaking Dawn filming get's on the road! I, like many other TwiBloggers, are opening up an Eclipse contest to all the other TwiHards out there! Mine is a little different from the rest, dealing with TWO aspects us, TwiHards, love so much. Facebook and Twilight!

The concept to this month's contest over at my blog (Black Nailed Reviews) is to make a Facebook page over one of the Twilight characters in Eclipse. You can be as creative as you want with your character! The contest is first come, first served. For example, if you want to be Bella and someone has already made one and became friends with my blog's page or the Facebook Group, they're Bella. Below I've listed all the characters I'm able to come up with in Eclipse. If there is a character you want to do that I haven't listed, just tell me and I'll put it down and link you to your character's page. Here are a few other things to know as well:

What you have to do:
-Make a Facebook page of any of the Twilight characters below
-Be creative as you want to be with your page
-Become friends with other contests' characters (but the one's your character would be friends with)
-You are allowed to make up to TWO Facebook pages
-Join the Facebook Group for the Contest (link is in the sidebar)
-Update your Facebook and socialize with your friends
-Check up on updates either on the contest page or my blog
-The more creative you are increases your chances of winning

Rules:
-Think like your character as much as possible. (For example: If someone is Edward say you are in a relationship with Edward Cullen if you're Bella...or since it is over the Eclipse book, you can say It's Complicated.)
-Join the contest page
-Become friends and socialize
-Update your page
-Be nice...but not too nice to people you "hate" or "dislike" in Eclipse
-Check back on June 25th to see if you win!

Summit Releases 3 New Eclipse Stills

In ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. Rumors of “Eclipse” Screenings Are Bogus

Early this morning we started receiving frenzied tips hinting that “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” had test screened for an audience.

The rumors sounded dubious, but Gossip Cop wanted to be sure.

Our doubts were well founded.

Gossip Cop has confirmed that Summit Entertainment has not shown “Eclipse.” A source connected to the production tells us talk of a screening is “absolutely not true.”

The “testimonials” and other reports being passed among blogs today are not legitimate. No screenings have taken place, nor are the specifics about the release of a theatrical trailer accurate.

Gossip Cop will have much more information when Summit (actually) begins its “Eclipse” campaign.
